I was wondering if you can get Metacam where you are.
Asprin is okay as a stop gap but Metacam is anti inflammatory which sounds suitable for a swollen leg.
Omg really?! I swear I was thinking that he needs something for inflammation since he has swelling. Is it a chicken type of pain pill/anti inflammatory? Who carries it? Thanks!!!

I don't think it was developed specifically for chickens and as you can see, I'm not in the USA so I don't know who would stock it.
It's what vets here prescribe for a painkiller for chickens and I believe the same applies in the UK.

Could very well be....you administering to him may also calm him.
I've found once I've successfully handled a bird, they are much less reactive the next time. Soft voice, try to stay calm as possible.
How did you get him to eat the aspirin?
I talk very softly to him and try to move slow, he seems way less agitated today! I used a small tiny peice of soft nutty type of bread and I smashed it all around the pill so it would not fall out.

Metacam/Meloxicam is prescription only. If you have a vet that can prescribe it that would be good.

The Empson salt soak didn't go as planned, him and I are both shooken up :( I got him wedged perfectly in-between the waterer and the gate, went to grab him, he squirmed and fought like heck, I couldn't get a good grip I accidentally pulled some feathers out, he got away stumbled and he was so upset then I got upset. I thought I killed him. So I just went in the house defeated. :hitim going to call my vet and see if I can get some meloxicam
