Is BYC Experiencing Cabin Fever?

Who knew even music was a hot topic? If you aren't thrilled with a song leave no feelings about it. Just get the heck away from it.

All I had said was " SMH" (shaking my head) and I got back a convo reply "I don't care what you say or do." Obviously the person did or never would have said that.

Oh no! Can't imagine someone would even do that! I looked though all the music threads and couldn't find it! So sad that people could be so mean!

Glad to know I'm not the only one who's noticed general lack of civility around here. It's truly beginning to drive me bonkers! Why are many too easily offended these days? Whatever happened to agreeing to disagree? Mere difference in opinions shouldn't become something ugly enough to lock a thread (which I haven't seen so often in my years on this forum! ). Kindness and tact never go out of style. Hate watching this contagious disease slowly contaminate my beloved BYC.

My apologies for ranting.....been dying to vent! Oh dear, perhaps it's spreading to me.....

I feel the same way. Some days I don't even want to look because of all the back and forth.

Simple consideration of others is all that's needed. You can disagree without pointing it out in a rude manner.

The disagreement sometimes comes to the "what breed or gender thread," as well.

The Washington state thread was shut down years ago but, ONLY because it was so incredibly long. Then a new WA thread started.

This winter vortex thing is beating the daylights out of me. I've lived through a whole lot of winters and none bothered me so much. I think living alone magnifies all the bad stuff.

You can only talk/rant to yourself so many times before your other self covers their ears and walks off. This is starting to make sense to me, maybe I better go to bed early.

I have daily disagreements with myself. We always work it out.

Have you considered a parakeet? They are nice companions. I get lonely when my husband works a lot because of the weather. I can't imagine living alone always.

Here in Wisconsin it is normal for us to be cold and snowy all winter so I have lots of hobbies to keep me busy. I do start getting squirrelly sometime in March, but generally I don't get crabby about it.

I find myself applying flock dynamics more and more to people I observe. Even going so far as applying pecking orders in the rare social situations. As humans I'll never understand our general willingness to complicate things.

So maybe it is a form of cabin fever. People seem to be getting caught up on focusing on the one piece of sand that they think shouldn't be on the beach that they miss the fact that a seagull is taking off with their car keys.
