Is caulk safe?

It was a review for a shed on home depot (or was it lowes? Either one) I was looking at sheds online as a possible future coop. Someone wrote their review of the shed having nothing to do with chickens. They were using the shed as a shed. They recommended caulking to prevent weather damage. I wondered if that would be safe if one were not using the shed as a shed but as a coop.
Ah, I see!
As long as the caulk is applied well, smoothed (and painting can really help) it should be fine. Just keep an eye out for it peeling where the birds could get at it. It probably wouldn't hurt them unless they ate a bunch of it.

I don't have pics. I was reading that someone bought a prefab shed from a home depot or Lowe's and they liked it but recommended that you caulk all the gaps. Of course they weren't using it as a coop
Do you raise Jersey Giants? just asking.:D
