is corn as main ingredient good for chickens?

Cool.. Spart.. ..
I will give you that Monsanto is BIG, which makes them a big target for many.. Indeed they have impacted agriculture, good, bad, or indifferent.. An outcome only future generations will be able to see. I will admit to not just targeting Monsanto, for me it is big corporations in general.

After watching Food, Inc and all the previous knowledge I had about Monsanto, I'm absolutely disgusted. Right here in America, we have no choices in one of our most basic functions, eating. I would expect this level of secrecy, political pandering, and single minded, conscientious attempts to blind us all, from the former USSR. How do you fight corruption on every level?

This is an example of what I said earlier. Robert Kenner has no background in chemistry nor agriculture, but he obviously has a personal agenda and the means to share his opinion as absolute fact with little to no rebuttal. I think it would be interesting to see the names of the folks that funded this film.
I am amazed at how easy it is to herd sheep.

The examples of Monsanto's greed and corruption span the globe, all you have to do is research it. The fact that so many food producers end up in public office is not a coincidence, it is by design. WE are the sheep being herded, and we are doing nothing about it. My own father in law has been farming his entire life, just like his parents and grandparents before him, on the same land. He remembers cleaning seed to save for planting. No one there does it now, they can't, it's illegal, and he is beholden to Monsanto now. The few farmers that tried to be hold outs where he lives eventually were put out of business. This isn't a story, these are real people that I personally know. If you are going to accuse every issue of being beholden to a money trail, then there are NO issues you can hold up to believe in, and you would have to consider ALL causes to be BS. Breast cancer, AIDS, Diabetes, Lung cancer, Heart health, etc. They all have special interests groups funding them, and I don't see anything wrong with that. Where else are they supposed to get their money anyway? The fact is, most of what we eat in the middle of the grocery store is corn and soybeans, broken down and processed into things that the human body was not engineered to consume. That isn't Kool-Aid, that is just common sense.

I have been feeding KENT extra egg which I think is a good feed. It is 16% ,corn base, with soy bean oil, and fish meal cost 13.75. I can get another feed that is 20% with a milo base cost 8.25. any thoughts on that. I do notice that when I give my layers a treat of scratch they will leave the corn and go for the milo. I do understand that the milo does not have the engery that corn hase. Also I have never had such golden yoks in my eggs that I'm getting with the Kent feed

Thanks for your help
Scott
