Is heat exhaustion a real thing for chickens?

I live in Florida and it is hot here in the summer. All of my pens have shade trees. I have sprinklers in some of the pens that reaches into adjacent pens. Some of the birds like the sprinklers and some don't.

I know most people want the have the breeds that they admire.
However, I feel that people in extreme climates, should keep breeds that are adaptable to those climates.
In other words, I wouldn't advise keeping Chanteclers, Orloffs, Brahmas, Buckeyes, Cochins, Wyandottes, Hollands, etc. in Fla, Texas, Arizona, southern Cal or in the tropics. The aforementioned breeds would be great for frigid temps.
Better for those hot climes would be Fayoumis, Games, Cubalayas, Seramas, most Mediterranean breeds like Catalanas, Buttercups, Penedesencas, Leghorns or even Redcaps. Those can handle cold but some may suffer in extreme cold.
One would have a much easier chicken keeping experience choosing breeds adaptable to their climate.
I've found one breed exceptionally capable of handling a wide range of climates and that is the Jaerhon.
