Is it a bad sign for an internal layer/ egg yolk peritonitis?

Oh I see. she wanted to get out quick today. I think she got tired of that now.

that photo with the dog is gorgeous. your hens though poorly (so so sorry) are absolutely beautiful and you clearly care about them very very much. i keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thank you for your very kind words, Racheal23! Yeah, the dog is ..... Funny. LOL when I took him for a walk around my neighbors, One was on the car yelled at me,
" What's that? It it a kangaroo? "
He couldn't walk properly at the time, he was just jumping around.. He is goofy.. LOL

Update: 12/9 night- 12/10

Deckie: No antibiotics. giving her probios and electrolytes.

She was not active enough to walk around our whole rooms again.





12/9 10:30pm..



12/10 4:40am.. The oyster shell was not from her vent, of course. LOL



12/10 4:45am. I have noticed the center of her vent looks pale now.. hmmm..



12/10 6:50am.. very watery.. I saw a lot of them were like that today.





12/10 7:50am..



I always put some herb tea bags and oats in the tub. LOL Her comb looks better today.










After the bath.

I saw several grass like above that she ate 4 or 5 days ago.
Interesting..





12:36pm.. again.. watery stool.. She did a lot of poops today, I wonder?

When she was in the living room, she ate some yogurt, and stopped and waiting for the poop coming out..
she kept doing it over and over... It doesn't seem like she is in a bad shape.. She seems to me like she knows how to fight against her illness.
Although she keeps eating a lot of yogurt that I make everyday for her.
She probably eats about 1 cup yogurt a day ,and some several solid foods that she likes to peck.

At 7:30pm.. I cut some of her greenish stringy poops in a half.. That was yellow/brownish stuff inside of the green.
I don't know what it means. but about weeks ago, her greenish stringy poops were whole green.

She didn't lay an egg yesterday, but she did today. She is a good egg producer now.

Update: 12/10 night-12/11

My computer is something wrong so I can't upload any pictures in here today.

Deckie was the same as yesterday. She was not active, and kept pooping watery greenish stringy stuff all over.
She kept eating a lot of yogurt, pecking and messing up solid foods for fun, not eating.. Although she ate several her regular
food, seeds.
Oh, She ate 2 table spoonful oats today, that was different than yesterday.


While Deckie was free out to room to room, She stood and stared at me who sat in the dining table for scrapbooking.
She wanted to jump on the my chair, but she knew she couldn't. So I picked her up and put her in my chair, then stayed together for
a second. LOL she wanted to right back to the ground where she was.

Oh, I bathed her with green tea powder that I got from my mom who lives in Japan, and oats bag today. She stayed longer than 20 minutes. She drank some of it.

At night, I went go grocery shopping to pick up some grapes to feed Deckie, but she only ate a couple...
She was too tired to eat at 8:00 pm anyway.

I also ordered Natural made 600mg calcium soft gel at Amazon yesterday. I read a thread that Kathy recommended to somebody. Good idea!
And, I bought a diaper for Deckie and Bumpy as well.( They can't be free together because they fight like cats and dogs. )LOL I hope it works. It was very good reviews at Amazon.

After I also bathed Bumpy who is in the crate, I put Deckie on the top of it.
Just for fun..



I wish Deckie and Bumpy were good friends.... They are not...
It may change.. because Deckie is weaker now.....




Today her vent got messier and messier!!


Grass again... She can't digest well as we see so many her green poops... hmmmmm...


Then I came up an idea..

Making some mushy food as like we make rice soup.




She didn't eat any.. LOL Well, she might her mind and eat..
I thought that will be easy on her belly to digest.

Ingredients: Her regular food/ oats / water

simmer them until it gets mushy. LOL...

You shall see tomorrow...

Update: 12/12

The smash food worked a bit. She ate about 2 table spoon of that.

Deckie was more active today that she could explore further to the end of our living room. She couldn't do it yesterday.

Bath time: She was comfortable enough to stay there for 25 minutes.

I like to take a picture of her vent everyday to compare later...


I gave her a 250mg Thomas Labatories fish pen ( Penicillin) tablet at 4:00pm.
I didn't have to give her, may be.... Can I stop giving her ? Is that make it resistant to her?

I also ordered Nekton S

and Propolis.

Have you ever used them?



I thought that I could give her both of them in the same time, instead of giving penicillin because I read it somewhere.

At the store where I ordered, he told me that it is depends on your bird's situation,but if you don't know you better not to do when I asked if I can give my bird Propolis and NektonS in the same time.

Do you guys know about these products?

I got these products because some Japanese Avian vet recommend to their patients. I read a lot of good reviews too. It is natural products so it is good for them to prevent have such problems like my chicken has suffered, and being healthy.

I hope it helps Deckie to feel better.

Update: 12/13

I stopped giving the penicillin to Deckie, then I gave Nekton S and Propolis to her for a while.
I feel good for some reason.



I can read on Nekton S not Propolis! that is written in German.
I realized that I can buy Nekton-S in here, but it is more expensive than I thought.
Although I can't find this Propolis in here...
I hope it will work on Deckie.












Well.. She stopped pooping after taking the penicillin... I was worried, so I insert some 5:1 = Warm water : Lubricant liquid into her vent.






30 minutes later...



8:45am.


9:00am.




11:15am.



12:00pm.



Deckie was staying inside of Bumpy's crate while I was bathing Bumpy.
Because Bumpy's comb looks bad and she was burping a lot.

I gave the propolis and Nekton S at 3:00pm.





Still dirty butt.. Poops are not looking good, but she was looking better today.

Update 12/14 I fed propolis,and nekton S. I have also fed her dried garic/ egg yolk as well.


Oops, I forgot to upload this poop LOL last night.



Yesterday, I found a piece of plastic in her poop! In my house, I always vacuum and mop corner to corner before I let her free in our house.
well, it may be possible somehow she ate it in here. but I assume that is from outside. I think that she is digesting some old stuff now... grass, another plastic, and this one..
If it is true, that is a good thing.



12/14 6:40am
I fed her a lot of meal worms ( dried) she was really crazy about them.
She is not interested in yogurt, egg yolk, grapes, etc.... but WORMS and some oats what she likes.
That is why she got darker stools, I wonder?

Ah... Her feather around the vent looks green by taking a green tea bath...

Today, She had more energy to intend to peck one of my dogs when the dog got to close to smell her, which is encouraging!
