Is it fun to be in the snow and ice ?

Let me answer this way:

Then on to Humble, TX....where I hated it! No seasons....hot, muggy and buggy! Sorry all you Texans! You can have it!

And we deal with it . Actually its only the coastal areas that are subtropical. Most people think when its 100% humidity that its raining. NOT!

Catalina those are very beautiful pics. Its the way I like to see a snow fall. From someones camera or thru a pilot house window!

There's about 2.5-3 inches of snow here already.

If there is more than an inch they call the schools off except the UW since UW med center can't stop.

Reason they calls schools off here is not so much the white fluffy snow, but the fact that it melts so fast, and ices over at night, it's an icy slush hidden under an inch of white.

Beautiful photo Catalina! I can almost hear the quiet of the night with the snow falling. I am always mesmerized by the snow falling around the lights. And the lack of sound when it snows, cars silently drive down the road past my house. I almost hate to be the first one to put foot prints in the blanket of untouched snow that surrounds my farm.

Drats...we don't have the "blushing" smiley. Thank you, but it is easy when you live it. It is beautiful and a special world when it snows. It's like everything gets renewed and made perfect again. Nature is pretty darn interesting, no matter what she does.

I'll try to remember to post some photos when the snow actually amounts to something here. Mornings are breath taking after a storm.

I just spent an hour shoveling.
It was so quiet, with only the distant sound of snow plows.

I like the way snow sounds when it's falling. I guess it's the ice crystal rubbing together, but it sort of sounds like dry leaves crackling -? If that makes sense.

It's been snowing and blowing most of the day here! It's the wind that is really making it misable to work in. The wind chills are running 10 to 15 degrees colder than the actual air temp! By the time we got to do the main barn chores and milking we were covered in snow and ice (from it melting on you). Anyone in the south that want to experince snow come up north by morning. I bet you won't have any touble finding a shovel job! hee hee hee

Yeah I live in a cul de sac with big trees that really cut the wind.
Some days I'm amazed at how windy it is outside of my neighborhood.
