I am not sure of the breed but does it look like she is missing tail feathers???? Of course why would this be?

How old is she?

We adopted her a few months ago previous owner said she was a year old. I am pretty sure she had tail feathers then.

She looks like a Buff Orpington.

I think she looks a bit small to be a buff orpington, but not out of the question. If she's missing tail feathers now but had them before, it may be something to worry about. Is she molting at all?

I had some hens losing a bunch of feathers to an overly aggressive roo, but mostly neck and back feathers - not tail. That may be a possibility though.
