Is it okay for my 5 week old ducklings to eat frogs?

I’m honestly surprised they even found mice at all with two barn cats around.

If they eat the mice it is less likely that the mice are causing them problems though. Like eating their feed or a friend has ones that the mice steal their eggs and eat them.

I almost felt bad when they ate the mice, because I was lifting a tarp up and it was a momma mouse with 4 babies suckling. She tried to run, but the babies wouldn't let go. The ducklings and chickens pounced.
Momma did get away.
I hate mice, but it was till a little sad.

The snakes not venomous, so I'm not too worried about it.

I had to take one to the vet today and described her dismembering a frog. The vet said good protein.

To me that's like going to the doctor and telling them you've been eating roadkill and they say good protein, lol.
But I guess it is all good protein and they are growing babies

Well the vet said she was underweight. Not sure how i could be starving her. I free feed them. She seemed concerned they had a vegetarian diet. Not on purpose. So I am trying to feed her as much as I can .

Ugh, today my one duck has wet farts. It sounds like diarrhea should be coming out, but is just air. It doesn't stink, my face was pretty close for the 3rd fart.
Maybe his system is just getting use to frog?

the duck farts don't intrigue me as much as why was your face so close to the duck's behind ??

Awe poor girl, I hope she gains weight for you. I suspect worms would be good protein for her and they are easier to get.

Lol, because I like to lay out on a towel and the chickens and ducks join me. This time the ducks layed down in front of me and I didn't think anything of it until he farted.
