Is it right to give a dog away for killing 1 chicken and injuring 2

Unfortunately once a dog kills or injures a chicken it will do it again. You'll either need to rehome the dog (tell the new owner about the issue) or secure your flock in a strong pen/run. My free-range flock has to be secured now, thanks to our neighbor's dog. The flock isn't happy, but they are safe.
My dogs was reeducated and is kept on a leash, he's never hurt one of my chickens again.

I agree with that. By the time my lab was 6 months, she still went after chickens, her predictor instinct is overly strong. I have worked with her for almost 3 years, and she still salivates when around the chickens, so I make sure she is not left alone. I know, it is a bit of work, but I cannot get rid of her or the chickens, so I am stuck. I am still working on it, but never leave her alone with them. When they are in the orchard, she is in her kennel. Inconvenient at times, but I love her, she is a great dog in all other ways, I still take her out to the coop when I am taking care of the chickens, and make her wait at the door. Hope this will eventually train her to leave them alone, but would not bet any money if one of them went running across the yard. Good luck with your problem, you are responsible for every animal you bring into your home.
I agree, I have one dog that I never had to train, from the shelter, my second dog was reeducated, but he's leashed all the time. I don't trust him as he has a strong prey drive.

Not really directed towards you but everyone who advocated to give the animal away as well as the so called "dog trainer" I sometimes forget people like this exist weak minded pass the buck individuals

Yes, I wouldn't give a dog like that away. Wouldn't be able to live with myself.

Our neighbor got a new dog, looks like a husky mix. I watch my flock like a hawk to make sure they don't get too close to their property line.

That's not really fair and the situation (whether this particular situation or any other) is more nuanced than keep the animal or pass the buck. I will grant that often times training will work and people just don't want to put in the effort, but sometimes people don't have access to the tools that would make training successful or there may be physical or financial barriers that make rehoming the better choice.
If you don't trust your animal you didnt train them enough it's as simple as that
Nothing simple about it! Some dogs simply have too much prey drive to ever be trusted around prey animals no matter how much training you put in. Just because they can be trained not to react to that prey drive doesn't mean they can be trusted not to react 100% of the time.

It's pretty simple and this is exactly the type of pass the buck behavior I just mentioned. People don't have access to the tools to teach a dog? If you don't have the intellectual capacity to be smarter than a dog that's pretty sad regardless of how much of a book you type it's fairly straightforward and simple

It is wrong. Why? Because you failed to train the animal correctly and now you presumably or someone else is getting rid of it because of being a bad owner. This is why not everyone should own animals because something like this happens and yes it is preventable stop being lazy people train your dogs

Wait, you say that person should not own a dog, but then you tell them to keep the dog?

If they should not own a dog, then rehoming the dog is a way to change the current bad situation.
