Is it time to make floppy dumplings?

JMO but i think if she decides to cull the roo, it is her choice as to wheather or not she cooks him or gives him a burial. I don't know what her situation is but..... it is for her to decide. It is my decision to do what I want with mine and that goes for everyone. Your chickens your decision. Sandy

Oh sorry, I didn't mean to imply I was against hunting. I'm not at all. What I meant by "sport hunting" was hunting not for the purpose of eating the meat. Like, cougar hunting or wolf or other predator hunting. You know, if it's just for vanity, to put a skin or head on a floor or wall and waste all the meat, then that's what I disagree with. I love me some venison, moose, and whatever else was hunted to be eaten. Not so into seeing bucks with lots of points on the wall. Kill the does, right?

Anyhow, it certainly is only the original poster's business what she does with the bird. I just have to stick my nose in whenever the misconception that it's wrong to eat our farm animals comes up. Oh, and I'd totally eat an old rooster. They'd probably make pretty good soup!

mine was doing the same thing, and so was a friends. I read that you should catch and hold him and play with his comb and other wobly bits. It demanlynizes him. I however, painted my roos nails red and my girls laughed at him. He is been nice for 3 weeks now. However the polish wore off and he is being a creep again. Time for the red nail polish.
