Oh sorry, I didn't mean to imply I was against hunting. I'm not at all. What I meant by "sport hunting" was hunting not for the purpose of eating the meat. Like, cougar hunting or wolf or other predator hunting. You know, if it's just for vanity, to put a skin or head on a floor or wall and waste all the meat, then that's what I disagree with. I love me some venison, moose, and whatever else was hunted to be eaten. Not so into seeing bucks with lots of points on the wall. Kill the does, right?
Anyhow, it certainly is only the original poster's business what she does with the bird. I just have to stick my nose in whenever the misconception that it's wrong to eat our farm animals comes up. Oh, and I'd totally eat an old rooster. They'd probably make pretty good soup!
