Is my chicken sick?

I have a 6 mo lavender orpington who has been acting weird since today our team have changed a lot hear from in 80's to 60's so.. she has been fluffed up and by herself with her tail feathers down might she be starting to lay? She eats and drinks fine and is still hanging with the others

I would try to push Vitamins just in case something is going on. She could be laying or she could be broody? Depends on how she’s acting. Maybe she’s having a hard time pushing an egg out, give her an Epsom Salt Bath it will help her push the egg out.

My rooster would do this and wouldn’t move and he ended up having to get put down due to a disease, I didn’t get him tested but make sure she is walking. A paralyzed neck is one of the first signs of Mareks

Thanks but what about her neck? any idea why it is like that and will she get better? I do not have coconut oil at home.. atleast i don't think so where would i find it?
I do see her neck. I would give 400IU Vitamin E daily.

A coccidiosis overload can make them have some odd symptoms at times, but she may be suffering from a disease like Marek's. You have to start somewhere in trying to determine what symptoms to "treat". If the crop is not emptying properly, that would need to be addressed along the way too - if it's not functioning, then getting vitamins and/or a coccidiostat into her is not going to be effective.

I'm sorry for my inexperience but What is Vitamin E 400IU? i've never dealt with a sick chicken before.. I'm not home so should i do it when i get home? i'll be back around 3 sadly.. that enough time? i'm having my dad watch her.

Sorry about your chicken. It does sound like she may be having symptoms of wry neck as well as having trouble laying an egg. She may be practicing or she may be sick, since they will go into nests if they feel bad. If there is an egg stuck, you should be able to insert a finger into her vent 1-2 inches to feel for one.

I would stop the cracked corn. If you want to teat her, give a few bites of scrambled egg or tuna. It does not have the protein or the vitamins and minerals she needs for a balanced diet. It is diluting what she is getting from the chick feed. It also requires that she have some grit available to digest foods and grass.

For wry neck I would give her some human Vitamin E (400IU) and a little B complex vitamins daily. B vitamins are in food as well. Wry neck can be due to a vitamin deficiency, a head injury, and sometimes is a symptom of a few diseases, including Mareks and some respiratory diseases.

I'm sorry about the feeding, the girl I got them from said she had only been feeding them that. They do have access to grit and What foods should I start giving her?

I'm sorry but right now i'm more worried about my chicken then what people think of my punctuation. I found no one else having a problem reading it.
I understand you are worried about your chicken, maybe you should worry about people being able to understand your problem, too. Just because nobody said anything about your lack of punctuation, doesn't mean it went unnoticed. Anywho, best of luck with your chicken, I hope she makes it out okay.
