Is my doe in labor???

Help! I think my Lionheads doe is in labor but I’m not sure. All of a sudden she started urinating blood!!! I need to know if she’s in labor so I can follow the required steps!!! She has been refusing food since yesterday and the male keeps harassing her!

I don't think they urinate blood, that may be an infection. It isn't recommended to keep a pregnant doe with a buck. She should be kept by herself to minimize stress as most does want to be alone when pregnant.

I generally can't tell when mine are in labor. They usually do it at night.

Rabbit urine can be darker brown. I believe @Bunnylady mentioned once about red urine but I can't recall the reason.

When she's in labor, leave her alone. Don't go poking around or standing up close staring at her, just leave her alone as much as you possibly can. She's a prey animal in a very vulnerable position, you need to keep that in mind.

I agree they are best left alone. Give her a nest box if she doesn't have one and hay to build a deep nest with. Most give birth in the middle of the night. Stress can cause a doe to kill her kits or not care for them. Usually the buck is only needed for mating.
