Is my leghorn ok

Odd question but if you smell that chickens mouth compared to your other chickens mouth is their a different oder? Sour crop can apparently smell bad
a couple of days ago her head smelled odd, kinda sour but not exactly overwhelming and so did the poop in the box I put her in. But these days her head/mouth doesn't smell sour at all, although her but on the other hand smells a bit sour, but that's only if you put your nose right up to her tail

Some of her poops look mostly normal but instead of a white liquid stuff surrounding the brown feces it's all green. I can't get a pic because I already threw out the bedding that had the poop
Maybe I read wrong but are you still giving her fruit? I'd stop feeding her anything especially foods containing sugar, ie fruit. Sugar feeds yeast. Do not put honey like I said if you're thinking its sour crop and only give water for 24 hrs. Then I'd feed her scrambled eggs and plain yogurt.

I haven't given her any fruit at all just normal chick food and occasionally a boiled egg. I have some yogurt and I want to give her some but I'm afraid that it will mess with the corid that I'm already giving her

I'm not a vet but I feel like if the corid isn't fixing it and there has been an oder then your course of treatment should change. Corid will kill the good and bad bacteria and the yogurt will replenish the good. If you think she's doing better you could finish the corrid since usually you would stop at 7 days. And then see about treating her differently. Her feces doesn't look like what I've experienced with coccidia.

Ah, I've been thinking of taking her off corrid treatment anyways since it didn't seem like it was doing anything for her, and worst case scenario she does actually have corrid I will continue to treat the rest of the flock and put her back on corrid, but for now I think that I should just put her on a sour crop specificied treatment with yogurt, eggs, normal feed, and probiotic electrolyte water.

I feel for you. Its really hard to know what do sometimes. Trial and error. Let us know how it goes! Im sure someone else will have some more info to share eventually! Sorry I couldn't be more help

It's ok, I was planning on doing it either way and was looking for a second opinion before I started and your comment gave me the push I needed to do it!

Hi there, it's been about 4 or so days since I started her on miconazole (there wasn't enough nytostatin left in the tube to last long so I ended up just starting her on miconazole) and she has sort of been acting better, however her poop is instead of a brown almost slightly red color, green, she's also been starting lose a lot of weight. Is this normal and should I keep going? Also, to deal with the weight problem I was thinking of switching her to a probiotic electrolyte water mix. Would it be safe at this point to take her off of corid? (she's been on it for 5 days).
She's losing weight (I could tell by comparing her to her sister) and her feathers were puffed, I put two or so teaspoons of corid in her qt jar of water and I've been making her drink the water. I
For a quart you would use 1/2 teaspoon of Corid liquid.

her crop empties out I'm not too sure but her crop doesn't really empty out overnight, I know she's eating and drinking because I can feel the food in her crop and see the waterline in the jar lowering so I think her problem is sour crop rather than coccidia.
I'm a bit confused.
Her crop empties out, but then you say her crop doesn't empty overnight. Which is it - emptying out or not?
Are you taking out the food/water at night and is she sleeping in the dark all night long?

Get some more photos of her poop.
You can stop the corid if you wish. You were given the dosing for your quart waterer which is 1/2 teaspoon of Corid per quart of water - you put in a "two or so teaspoons"? Do you have measuring spoons?
Just stop the corid.

Miconazole is given 2 times a day for 7 days. Re-check the crop again in the morning.

Your chick may be failure to thrive, hard to know. I think you are doing all you can for her.

Corid is not an antibiotic, it's a Coccidiostat.
It's a Thiamine analogue and block the thiamine transporter of Coccidia (which is a protozoa). This "mimicking" of the thiamine helps inhibit Coccidia from getting the "nutrients" it needs and "starves" it, so the numbers are reduced so the bird can build resistance. Corid does not kill good or bad bacteria, it simply helps prohibit Coccida from absorbing Thiamine.

Ah well thats good to know! I read that it did in my research when mine were sick so maybe somebody else had been misinformed! Makes sense

Sorry, i should have phrased that better, her crop does empty, but it takes an awful long time for it to do so, she'll wake up in the morning and still have food/water still in her crop though it isn't a large amount it is a noticeable one, this night I've taken away her water and given her only food, I do this every other night to make sure the medicine is working, and she's been In my bathroom in the dark at night. And by two or so teaspoons I meant two or so cc's which is 1/2 a teaspoon. As I was typing this I went to go check on her and since I've taken her water away and left only her food her crop has been slightly full. The pic below doesn't really show it but the poop is slightly green.
