Is my Olive Egger A Hen Or A Roo?

Hey everyone! A few weeks ago I posted asking wether a few of my chicks were hens/roos. I definitely have figured out the gender on two other chicks but my Olive Egger still has me guessing. He/She had grown a huge amount in a few weeks so I was wondering if anyone could tell me the gender a little easier now. Thank you!

The person I got them from promised me he/she was a pullet and that he/she was 7 weeks old when I picked them up. I got he/she on May 25th 2023. But to me, he/she looked much younger than 7 weeks. I’d guess he/she is now around 7 weeks old now. This person also sold me a Maran “pullet” who is most definitely a rooster. They are not very trustworthy.

Trustworthy...it's almost impossible to tell the gender of young birds unless you're an expert vent sexer or the birds are sex linked. Even expert sexers at hatcheries only have a 90% accuracy rate. Mistakes happen.
The bird in question is a pullet.

I know mistakes happen but when someone sales a bird as a guaranteed pullet and charges you 2x the price they really shouldn’t guarantee a pullet. The person also has ignored all of my text & calls trying to get in touch with them about refunding me the difference I paid for a pullet vs a rooster.

Isn’t a pullet just any bird from 1 day old to egg bearing? Both a 7 week old hen and 7 week old rooster are pullets…..?

A pullet is a female under the age of one year, once she reaches one year old she's considered a hen.

A male under the age of one year is considered a cockerel, once he reaches one year old he's then considered a rooster.

I am leaning cockerel on this one, if it is around 7 to 10 weeks, pullet if older than that
