I'm inclined to say that if she's eating, drinking, and pooping normally, she's just relaxing. If it persists for multiple days, that's something to possibly be concerned about. But if you're talking about a chicken who's been quiet and tired for less than a day, I'd just keep an eye on her and let her go about her day.

Lol ok I will answer all your questions later I am not at home right now...
What color is her comb/wattles?
Are her eyes dull, bright, any drainage?
Have you SEEN her eat/drink?
How is her weight?
Have you checked her vent for drainage or fly strike?
Have you checked her feet for bumblefoot?
What does her breath smell like? Normal? Sour? Putrid?
Have you dewormed her ever?
Have you check for mites?
How do her legs look?
Check her belly-does it feel normal, swollen, hard, squishy?
Check her crop-again, normal, hard, swollen, squishy?

Sorry for the 20 questions, but since chickens are horrible at telling us what's ailing them we have to play detective/doctor/psychiatrist all at the same time!

Ok thanks I agree today is the first day in two days I have let my chickens out I have not seen her do it before then I will keep checking and let everyone know how she is doing

Is she underweight? (i.e you can feel her breastbone protruding a lot?) Have you checked her for external parasites? (To do this, gently part the downy feathers underneath her vent.) Pictures of her droppings would really help in a possible diagnosis. Also, very gently feel underneath her vent/in between her legs for any lumps. That could mean egg-binding. Sorry for all the questions but I have a few more coming... just trying to help... How hot is it where you are and what breed is she? For the meantime, I would advise keeping her comfortable and separated from the others but I hope she is doing better soon!

Hello There,

Thank you for the tag- River.
I will try to help as good as I can, but sadly can't promise anything.

Sorry to hear you are concerned about your pullet.

I agree with many posts above. Including this one:

I would suggest waiting a few days, she is probably just relaxing. If she is strong enough to squat, she is probably fine with her muscles.

Is she poops, drinks, eats and sits... I assume she is well too.

Another thing is, may I have a photo of her? Is she alert?
(Like looking up when alarmed).

She is pooping normally I can guarantee that! She is also not underweight she is the largest in the flock I do think she is just tired but I will keep looking I let my girls out tonight and she was acting completely normal!!
