It feels like there's nothing in it. I just feel his breast bone. His beak is warmer than usual and he has a clear mucus like substance coating the inside of his mouth. He has a little leakage in the corner of his nose.

We have him staying with a guy that keeps chickens as a temporary thing, because we just moved and can't keep roosters in our neighborhood. We are securing a piece of land to build a house on, and keep our chickens. He called me earlier when I was at work to tell me what was going on, and that he didn't really notice anything odd yesterday, but today was much different. My boyfriend went and picked him up, and when he found him he told me he smelled the smell of something akin to...moldy feed? The man had him separated from the other chickens immediately, of course, but none of them are exhibiting similar symptoms. How should his crop feel? It doesn't feel much different from the way it normally does.

Moldy feed? If there was moldy feed, then I would make sure he's drinking well. I think I would also give him some Molasses water to give him a flush. 1tsp Molasses in 1/4cup warm water. Since he's drinking, see if he will drink all of that. Be prepared that he will probably have really loose stool. Always always make plenty of fresh water available to him.

The mucous inside the beak is concerning, you may need to wipe that out. Look for white patches or lesions inside the beak (throat and roof of beak too!) and see if his breath smells off. Chicken breath should not really have an odor or it should smell like their feed (should not smell bad).

It's possible this is respiratory illness if he's been housed with other birds. How long were they moved?

What is that?

Mycoplasma Gallisepticum (MG/CRD). If he passes away, I highly suggest you send the body off for a necropsy for testing to be done, so you know what disease exactly you’re dealing with. He could have 2 or even 3 respiratory infections all at once, it’s not common.
