Is Rooster Behavior Passed On Genetically?

Hello!
I have a Black Copper Maran rooster and he is the only one i have of that breed. I wanted to use his genetics but am worried about his temperament. He is way too rapey towards my girls. They don't want to be around him because of it.

What do you think, will his male offspring display the same undesirable personality?

He just has a lot of vigor, which is usually a good thing, but is he rough is the question?
I have a quite a few vigorous roosters in my flocks.
He will chase them down if they don't want it and holds on too long when they try to pull away. I am worried since I had a roo seriously injure a hen in this way before.

I'm getting ready to do the same with my roo for the same reasons, although he's a tad younger.

I've hatched many roosters and in my experience it doesn't matter who the father is. They all have growing pains at some point.
