Is Santa real?

I'm trying my best not to get negative about it. I have to admit my DW does a good job of not over-spending. At least in everyone else's view. I just don't get going in debt to get people things they really don't NEED.

Oh well, time to get with the spirit of the season.

Ho. ho. ho.

I told my DH I've finished getting his presents. I got five inexpensive things I know he needs / wants, and that's it. He thinks that's great, but we'll see how he feels on Christmas morning...

In an effort to save a few bucks this year, I told my kids that Santa had a horrible sleigh accident. He lingered for months, and only weighed ninety pounds at the end. Mrs. Claus took to the bottle and was last seen in a gutter in Nome.

Oh, now it all comes together. I thought there were an awful lot of dead deer stories on BYC lately. Now we know it's just mutant reindeer falling from the sky. I just hate those sudden decompressions. It hardly allows a reindeer time to get the jingle bells off before they pass out.

(Hope your kids are saving up for the years of therapy they'll need.)

Yes, I do believe in Santa! Even when times are tough, a lot like this year when even Santa needs to trim back a little, he makes sure that we all get something, even if its clothing that he picks up on his way around the world!
Not only is Santa real, but Santa's helpers are wonderful assets to our daily life reminding us of charity, good will, and bringing back memories from before loosing our loved ones. I also believe they come and enjoy Christmas along beside the tree.
People believe differently, some religions have gifts each day for a period of time, another feels that holidays are not what God wants. Those are the only ones that I'm familiar with, but Santa respects those other types of folk(that don't receive gifts) and when he and the sleigh passes over, they sprinkle love, hope and good cheer to all of the people on earth(and outer space-wonder how he gets to the astronauts?).
Yes there is a Santa Claus- I believe.

Of course Santa is real! I see him every day when my students donate toys for Toys for Tots. I see him every time I walk through the mall and see people donating toys for children off the Angel Tree. I see him every time I see people donating time to feed the hungry. I see him every time I look in the eyes of excited children standing in line to have their picture made with Santa. I see him every time I see a parent picking out toys for their kids for Christmas. Santa is everywhere we look. As long as there is peace, generosity, and good will on this planet, there will be a Santa Clause. Yes, Virginia, there IS a Santa Clause!
