My red x cross hen of 3 years all of a sudden is moping around and cannot jump on the perch to roost. Shes not being picked on yet, but is it too late to intervene? I'm worried that she may be going. Is she sick? Should I give her bird antibiotics? Please, she is my favorite chicken. Any help is appreciated. I am available anytime for information. Thanks.

Is she sitting around looking like she's cold? She might have a cocci infection. You could try a round of corid in the water, and give it to all your birds because some of the other ones might have it and not be showing symptoms yet.

Have you checked her over VERY well for lice or mites? When was the last time she was wormed and with what? Are her comb and wattles nice and red? or do they look anemic? Are there ANY other symtoms? How does her poop look?

Her combs are very red with a red face. Shes never been wormed. She is still eating. Gave her some tetracycline by soaked bread 20 minutes ago. Would worms kill her? How do i worm her? I just dont want her to die. Should i treat the rest of the flock? Are there any fast acting antibiotics? She is still moving around, but seems to want to just lie down. Im afraid she will just go to sleep and well...

Also, when she eats she eats pretty slow. anything else? Any ideas?

PLease, anyone. My chicken just passed a half devioped egg, but stil has white liquidy diarrhea. Is it worms? Can i do anything?
