I am with you, but my wife dislikes our EE Ester because she thinks she looks mean. I think her feather decor looks neat. My wifes favorite is Agnes the Australorp. Can't wait to see Esters egg color. All of our other girls are brown eggers. Take care and happy chicken days ahead.

I have an EE that looks just like that, just about the same age too. Unfortunately, Cutlet is the most skittish of all my chickens - I never get to pet those fluffy cheeks! Hopefully your girl is a little more outgoing.

Nope, they must have come from the same hatch (MPC). Ester does not like to be held and is the girl that will start a panic flight with all her coop freinds. She will approach me when I have treats and I can stroke her neck, but thats about it. Very skidish. She has jumped on the back of my chair when I'm sitting in it but I can't lead her onto my shoulder or arm. Oh well, at least my Plymouth Barred Rock Piper can be held.
