i have mostly bantam boys in my flock. only a mixed marans x faverolles boy is my LF i am thinking of keeping since he is sweet and will jump into my lap for petting and treats. but my favs and cochins i have had little issues with. a wing dance on occasion and a slight nip if i am feeding treats and they don't get to check it over first to be sure it is safe!
i do not tolerate aggressive roos for long. i have tried the 'rooster reform' stuff on a few with mixed results. those breeds that are normally not aggressive i usually don't have many issues with having to reform them for long. they just get used to me being bigger and handling everyone and realize i am not the threat, i am usually the food/treat bringer!
now, mixed breeds can sometimes be issues if i have been unsure of what the mix entailed! dh will not tolerate aggressive roos attacking me and i will not rehome a roo like that just out of safety to others. bigger, older roos will sometimes put younger, more hen/human aggressive roos in their places quickly
