So this “gal” hatched in mid July sometime. Her mama was eaten and only had one “sibling” left so I took both babies home as week or two old chicks. I got them from a local farm I work at.
Anyway, they look different but have similarities. Mr. Norris is clearly a boy, crowing, feathers, etc.
But Betty looks more silkie than her brother so I figured it’s taking her longer to mature. She’s not laying (I’m not surprised), she’s not crowing, but the rust on her wings and some of the feathers around her neck and her tail feathers are slightly making me question things lol please help!

I'v had both male and female Silkie feathered birds get a rust color around the neck, but I've never seen that much wattle on a Silkie feathered pullet. I say cockeral for your birds
Will their wattles be larger if they’re not pure silkie though? I think that’s what’s making me question everything lol I know they’re not pure, so it’s hard to go based off what google tells me about silkies. TBH I wouldn’t have chosen them (I dislike feathered feet here in the wet south) but they chose me and now I ADORE them 😂😂
