Your chicks need to eat chick food. Cracked corn does not provide the nutrients they require. Chick starter or grower depending on their age. How old are they? Even as adults whole corn will not provide what they need.

X 2. Corn has only 8% protein compared with 20% for chick feed, and is not a balanced diet with the vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients needed by chickens to grow and later produce heathy eggs. Chicken starter grower until they are laying, and then layer feed. The cost difference is only a few more dollars for 50 pounds.
