So, I found this egg in the trough with my chicken eggs but it looks more like a guinea egg to me.. what do you think!?

The first pic with 7 eggs, 6 for sure chicken eggs and the possible guinea egg.

The second picture - the possible guinea egg, next to my incubator guinea egg.

The third picture - the possible guinea egg next to a for sure chicken egg.

The fourth picture - I gathered an egg that’s identical to this one yesterday but was so busy, didn’t pay attention, washed and marked as usual.

My chickens lay white, brown and blue/green eggs. As far as I know, I don’t have a speckled later, definitely never gotten a speckled egg before. 2E75C540-5255-4E6F-8965-192476ADAF9E.png 5411EC2D-A080-468B-8223-ADD0FD5286B6.png

Haha! Certainly is because that's indeed a Guinea egg! Guinea hens are very mischievous critters. They get their little selves into anything they possibly can. Gotta love 'em! ;)

I’ll take the trough where I check daily, over their crazy hidden nests like it usually is!!!!

Yep, I’ve had a few since adding the new females, just so surprised at them laying with the chickens!
If there is an egg in a nest, to a guinea hen it means that it must be a good nest site. It is the reason that I seed desirable nest sites with fake eggs. It was really amusing the first time I had guineas find a turkey nest with an egg in it. They acted amazed by the size of the egg and were very attracted to it. They did examine it very closely and kept going back for second looks.

That is adorable! Guineas are such peculiar little creatures. But they are endearing.
