I didn’t quote the wrong member, since it is entirely possible that the chicken could be non binary and gender fluid.

Correction - there are documented cases of chickens being half hens and half roosters. I presumed that’s what the member meant by “non binary”

You have two cockerels in that last pic, if all the same age.

chest bumping isn't a male behavior. All chickens will do it. Its a way of establishing pecking order.

Yes - he was talking about that chicken. That photo was taken at Elmos new home by his new owner, that chicken in the enlarged picture is part of Elmo's new flock, so I have no idea. Our other "rooster" Rocco, is actually a girl - thanks to almost all of the great responses I got from this forum.
