Is this a partridge cochin?

Haha, I get ya. I know, I can't think of anything like that with beards. They may just be super fluffy? I've had EE babes with beards so I don't think these do but I could be wrong.
I don't think they have beards :) When they are that young and fluffy, it does seem like a lot of them have some fluff under their beaks too..

This looks about the same as yours for the beard factor.

Thanks! :) So is the consensus that they are indeed cochins? I hope they're partridge cause those roosters are so beautiful!

I think it is definitely a cochin! Be prepared.. they tend to take their time maturing

My hen - over a year old. Not sure exact age. I got her last November. She didn't molt, and laid the first egg in February.. Who knows though.. Maybe I just missed her fall molt. They are from the same breeder. I hope my cockerel gets less awkward. My hen is absolutely beautiful!

HAHA. Awkward! Your birds are beautiful. I love them! I've had Saipan jungle fowl in the past and they took FOREVER to grow their feathers out. They looked like raptors for the longest time.

Ive never heard of bantams being sent as packing. Generally they will send a larger breed of bird for body heat.
