Is This A Peach Or Something Else? Please Help 7 Pictures Posted

True, sex linked .it is said that peach is not a mutation by itself.. it is a combined expression of purple and cameo genes due to cross over of one gene on to other. As a result each arm of a Z chromosome contains one half with purple segment and the other half with cameo segment.. The pure peach birds produce peach chicks it is said, But, the genes segregate in "split peach birds", to purple, cameo and peach as well.

Had a breeder look at the pictures and was told just now that white birds get this color from the dust and pollen in the air and it raining on them. His pen is close to the horses next door and they cause a dust storm when they run. He said it does stain the feathers. So I am sad this bird is not a peach color LMAO! It is a spalding cause of the blue face. The only way to tell if it has any peach or sexlink color is to wait for the eggs to hatch. I hope it stays that color cause I like it LOL
If he turns out not to be peach then I will put the purple BS hen in with Zues cause Deerman told me he IS split to peach LOL

Of course I know NOTHING about peach, but...
Your pea is such a lovely and definitely peach-y color!

From those pictures it really looks as though the feathers themselves are colored, not like there is dirt or dust or pollen on them.
And you did say that you washed him, right?

Yes I did wash the bird got the scratches to prove it LOL! They are stained not dirty but a nice looking stain, makes me want to stain all my whites LOL

I would like to see the entire bird in one photo, I don't think that is dirt, mabe the crest is but those feathers on it's head look real creamy

I took pics of my other white birds and they too have that peachy creamy pinkish color as well but not as noticable to my eye as this one. When I enlarge the heads in the photo they are the same just lighter. It is from the horses running back into the field after they were in the barn eating. I watched it yesterday around 5:30-6 when they come running out they create a large dust cloud and this peacock gets the main blast of the dust. The dirt is red on our property not brown that can be why too. The funny thing was after the dust settled it started rainning LMAO!
