Is this a rooster? Or still to early?

These baby chicks comb seems to be bigger and one seems to be turning pink, they’re about 2 1/2 almost 3 weeks old. Is he/she a rooster or still to young and still have any hope for a hens? Thank you in advance!!

Definitely still early. 5 weeks is the preferred age to want to guess with more accuracy but the older the better.

Combs aren’t always a sure sign of them being a cockerel. I’ve seen both male and female develop their combs at the same time, it’s usually later on that the male’s comb begins to turn pink & red.

Developing waddles at an early age can sometimes mean cockerel but some breeds develop them early and end up being girls.

So there’s still a chance they’re female 😊 Come back in 2-3 weeks and someone on here will be able to give a more educational guess.
