how bad is the frostbite? i dont think it will hurt, but epsom salts may be better,
ES soaks help alleviate pain, swelling, and also help to draw out infection
Can you post pictures? A lot depends on how bad the frostbite is,whether the toes are black and shrivelled or if they are just swollen. If it is mild, warm soaks in the Epsome salts, Betadine, or Chlorhexidene daily can help them heal and prevent infection. If black and shrivelled, the healthy skin just above will look swollen, and the tissue below that line will eventually drop off. If it just involves the tips, most chickens do fine afterward.
I saw the pics in your first thread. As the others said, the black toe tips will drop off in several weeks or a month. He should be able to survive that. I would soak his feet and apply some plain neosporin ointment to the dried feet twice a day. If you don’t soak them, then Imwould put some betadine or iodine on them.
We need pics in order to judge the color of the damaged tissue. Black toes or any other part of the foot that turned black is not good. That means that part of the foot is dead, and that it will fall off.
I brought him in the house with his girl. I can treat him & keep an eye on his feet. He crowed 6 am. But I'm up at 5 his crow seems to be off not his crow.
