Is this dosage right?

My duck has been having trouble recovering from bumblefoot removal and I have decided to resort to antibiotics. I'm giving a five pound duck 250 mg of amoxicillin twice a day (500 per day total). I plan to do this for 5-7 days depending on progress. I gave her the first pill today (right down the throat, being careful of the windpipe).

I've seen so much different information from different sources that my head is swimming. Does anyone here feel like they know this one? Thank you.

That dose is correct range.

5 / 2.2 x 125 = 284 mg - 250 mg is probably close enough.
