Is this drake behavior?

Some if you may recognize me from my new duckling thread but just to get everyone up to date: our family recently purchased a duckling around a month old. It’s a Pekin duck and the gender is still currently a mystery. We’ve all be referring to Sunni as a female but I’m starting to have strong beliefs that Sunni might be a drake. When we put Sunni in the run with the others she tends to be a little aggressive and tries to bite the chickens if they get too close. I also saw her jump on top of our RIR hen which at the time I thought Sunni was attacking her but I don’t think that was the case. Sunni was brought into the family to keep our other duck, a female mallard, company since we just lost our other duck. I’ve started bringing them in for a bath each night together and tonight Sunni was actually chasing Billy (our mallard) around in the bath tub and biting her neck and attempting to get on top of her.

I do not know Sunnis exact age but he/she is around 5-6 weeks I believe. So still fairly young. But when I was raising Billy and our other duck when they were little I don’t recall this every happening. Is this because Sunni is possibly a drake? We’ve never had a drake before so I’m not really sure. For those of you with drakes, did they act this way at this age?

Also to add, there is no sign of a drake feather yet but that’s normal. Also no signs of any quacking that’s why I’m starting to really believe Sunni is a boy. Billy and our other duck were quacking by this age

Here’s a picture of them since I’m not positive on the age. Definitely over a month for sure

Update: I have them together at the moment and it almost looked like Sunni was trying to pull feathers out of Billy. Now I’m concerned

If the voice is raspy then he's mostly likely a drake. You will need to separate him from the chickens if he's trying to breed them. Their reproductive systems are very different and a drake can fatally injure a hen trying to mount her.

@Kevin565 yes I was informed of that by someone else. But I don’t know what gender Sunni is right now that’s why I’m asking. And they’re still rather young. Doesn’t even have all the feathers yet

The Drake feather won't come in till around 4 months old..
Is it still peeping or does it clearly Quack?...I never seen Ducks that young mounting...Scared Ducks will chase and bite if not properly introduced..How are the two Ducks housed?...Do they only see each other once in awhile?...

I don’t believe this is a “sign of a drake” as females can also mount each other. Sometimes my Cayuga will follow my Blue around the pond, shuffling through her feathers until she assumes the flat position to be mounted. I was freaked out at first but it’s totally normal for two girls to do this! Now, your duck is very young, I think that ChickensReally seems to have the best idea right now. Maybe rethink introductions?

@chickens really still peeping. No quacking at all. Maybe they weren't trying to mount my other duck but that's what it seemed like to me... and I've never had a drake before so I don't know what they are like. Sunni, the possible drake, is still too young to move outside at night so she sleeps in the house but is in the run all day with the other duck and the chickens. So they see each other all the time

@CarleeAnn Yah I am aware female ducks do that. When Mochi was still alive they did it all the time but I don't remember them showing that behavior at this age when we were raising them that's why I was confused
