Is this fowl pox

That's interesting about the ducks feet and the combs, I have no idea if it would be related or not.
I would "experiment" to see if keeping the roosters penned for a while and the daily application of the Vetericyn makes a marked difference.

Here is a not so good photo of one of the hens comb. You can see some black spots...this is typical of the hens that have larger combs.

Mmmmm, could that be mosquito (insect) bites in various stages of healing (and bruising) due to your birds intentionally rubbing their combs to get some itch relief? I mean, if I were a mosquito, I'd definitely be interested in taking advantage of the blood engorged comb. Just a thought.

That is an interesting thought regarding mosquito bites...
Do you know if there is anything that mosquitoes pass on virus wise that would cause the damage to the combs like in the photos?

We believe that it is probably Fowl Pox however we have no experience regarding this virus as we have not had these symptoms/virus before. Based on what we have read we thought that the roos and others would have healed up by now as it has been around 7 months. That was our original diagnosis so we just kept an eye on the flock. Since it has been so long and the only signs of healing are that the wattles on the roos and around their eyes do look improved but their combs still look terrible or possibly worse....Maybe is has been that the hens have been making it hard for the combs on the roos to heal??.... We thought we were keeping a pretty close eye on them however after seeing blood yesterday we wonder and feel bad that maybe we have been a little to lackadaisical in our approach. We will keep them isolated and hopefully see some improvement.
The reason for the post is to determine if we misdiagnosed from the get go.

Sorry, but it doesn't look like fowl pox to me. You said it began in the summer, so have you checked for spider activity? Black widow spider bites can cause a similar reaction in people, as well as a couple other types of venomous spiders.

Yikes! That looks terrible. We have not seen any brown recluse or black widow spiders.
