NOTE: See updated post a little farther down in thread.

My girls frequently have little scabs on their combs from pecking each other. But today I noticed they looked different/bigger on one of them. So I did a little research and I am worried it is fowl pox. Will post some pics below.

She is a one year old ISA Brown. Is still laying. Mint not be eating as much as usual but none of mine are due to it being over 100F almost every day.

If it is Fowl Pox should I try to quarantine her? And I am finding mixed information about if my other hens can be vaccinated at this age (they are all just over one year old).

Thanks

Looks like injury to the back of the comb.

I'd monitor it. You can dab a bit of blukote on it if you wish.
Thanks. What about the spot over the eye? I think there was a smaller white spot there a day or two ago.

That is what fowl pox looks like, but I've never seen just 1 lesion.

It could be an injury that is infected and I recently learned chooks can get Bumble foot on their combs.
