Is this gorgeous 8 week old EE pullet really a dude?

Here is my 7 week old EE and he had a red comb at 4 weeks old. I dont see that bright red comb on your EE and your EE is 5 weeks older then this fella, so I'd say you have a pullet.

I am going with cockeral, my pullets don't get comb color until 5 months or more. You should look in the area right in front of the tail, see if there are any thin pointy feathers coming in....

Ok I'm going to look this evening for the saddle feathers-- that is the term I couldn't rememeber in my original post. I will report back and let you know one way or another as s/he ages and let you know.
I am on 18 acres and we actually LIKE roosters and would like to have one, but have not been able to keep them in the past b/c they've attacked our 3 and 4 1/2 year old kids. If this turns out to be a cockeral I thikn he'll be a beautiful one and I'll definately give him a go using the tips on this site to decrease the aggression. Thanks for all your input. Once again, I love this forum.
