Is this hen a Dominique or Barred Rock? added another pic

Thats what I figured thanks. We have tried to just leave her alone and let her be but Im sure she is just trying to get used to it all.

Oh no! Don't say that! We love her! We love her! I posted in another theard about how we got her two weeks ago, and she is just a doll baby and lets my kids carry her all over, and sits down in their laps, and is just a love bug--- but that we are also not getting any eggs from her
We really really love this bird- by far the nicest pet chicken we have ever had-
Like a few minutes ago my kids brought them out some greens, and she just ate them out of their hands, and let my kids pet her and love on her-
How can I tell if she is a rooster? She does talk a lot, but I have not heard crowing or anything yet- and like i said, no eggs yet eigther

Oh no! I will just cry if she is a he. I got her along with three other hens( differant breeds) from a lady over in Mason county, we are over in Kitsap co, Washington state
Maybe that explains why every evening my hens all go into the coop except her, I have to fish her out of a tree and put her away

That's a barred rock , and a rooster at that!! Sorry...I've had 6 of them, and they have all been mean as snakes. I do not want anymore.

It does look like a cockerel, but hard to tell at that angle. The coloring and apparent lack of pointed hackles suggests pullet. The comb is, however, quite large for a girl.

I used to raise dominiques, and you can see the difference in comb and feather color between the females and males.
