Hello BYC community! I have a fully matured hen and I am confused if she only a Dominique with no other breed crosses. You see, in the image below, she has a single comb. All of my other Dominiques have rose combs. Is there something going on here?

Definitely some other DNA in there. i faced a similar problem with a hatch of Dominique eggs I purchased.

Maybe Dom Am cross? Although she doesn’t look like an Am either. I think she would have a pea comb if she was or at least a modified one. Maybe RIR Dom?? Although I would think she would have red leakage but maybe not.

She has the single comb but I agree there probably would be some leakage.
