This chick hatched this morning. I can see it's already starting to dry and fluff up a bit, but I have yet to see it stand. It's one leg keeps twitching and once in awhile it starts squirming around and cheeping, but seems to be in a very awkward position and not able to get up. Is there anything I can do or just wait and see? I tried to attach a video but it won't let me... But it's been in this position since I first saw it an hour ago and just keeps flailing around like a turtle on its back.

I would give him a little more time. He might have some issues, but wait at least a few hours before you draw any conclusions is what I would do. He might just be exhausted from hatching.

Thanks, I will definitely wait for awhile and see how he does. I'm hoping it's not something that happened because of our power outage the other night. I had one chick hatch two days early and the rest have been a little delayed, it's day 22 and this one just hatched plus I see two more pipped in there. Hoping they all do ok!
Edit: 3 now pipped!

I did try that once, but he just flopped back over. And I didn't want to keep the incubator open to try again since I have other eggs pipping.
It has to be repeated.

Just need to be quick about it. Usually takes me about 4 tries, & the chick stays the way it needs to be. A small container with paper towel in the incubator will help train the floppy chick too if you don't want to continue.

Ok..I will see if I can find a small container and try that in a little bit. Thanks!
