I agree, I had a Silkie and couldn’t see his blue earlobes until he was pretty much fully feathered.I believe the blue earlobes aren't fully visible and enlarged until they are at least 9 weeks and older - I haven't seen a silkie born with bright visible blue earlobes yet.
He turned out cuckoo with cinnamon highlightsAll of those scraggly feathers are pretty normal, although I’ve never seen a Silkie with a chipmunk pattern like in the second pic. It might be a Silkie cross unless I really just haven’t seen a chipmunk patterned baby Silkie.
