The chicken was gone and one of the ducks was in the coop and the other was cowering in the corner. And then our neighbor called to say that a hawk swooped into our yard grab something and flew off. we have a coop With a small run and I was thinking that since the ducks don't use the inside of the house they just sleep on the ground in the run that i could keep the ducks out in the yard but keep the chicks inside and close off the run but put the chicks inside the house at nigbt and shut them in while the ducks just sleep on the run anyway.

Sorry about your aerial attack. I have to keep my run 100% civered because of the hawk/vulture/owl predation we have where I live. Your ducks look great though and are hopefully to big for the hawks to take now.
