So can the Cameos handle Zone 6a winters?

Yes they can. It is the more tropical Green birds that need more protection from the cold. Cameos are a mutation from the India Blues and are quite cold hearty.

My birds handle a zone 4b winter without any extra heat. I just give them closed in coops out of the wind where they can stay dry and they're fine.
