I can almost guarantee that anything labeled as and Ameraucana from a Feed Store isnt going to be a standard amerarucana. I have raised around 15 or so Feed Store birds and amerarucanas are never a pure bird. Hell, I was told I was getting a old english game one time and ended up with a plymouth rock! Feed stores are not the best to trust in what they sell.We have 3 of these and from a feed store as Ameraucanas.
She’s beautiful but she looks like a Easter Egger and she is laced! If you compare the pattern of her feathers to a Silver Laced Wyandotte you will see what I’m saying.
What they saidShe's clean faced, has green legs, and is not a standard color. She is an Easter Egger. No feed store sells true Ameraucana. They sell hatchery "Ameraucana" which are actually Easter Eggers. You may never find another Easter Egger with her exact color. That's part of the Easter Egger charm.

Rural king sells Americana's not Ameraucana. Theres a big difference this bird doesnt have any muffs or beard like an pure bred ameraucana. The Americana from rural king are really just an Easter Egger or mixI bought her from Rural King in the spring as an Ameracauna. But I've heard that the majority of feed store Ameracaunas are actually Easter Eggers.
I was gifted one a few days ago. She's a Lavender Wheaton, also called a blue. She's brave, unafraid of my alpha, Juniper!just speculating, but her blue looks paler than most BBS blues, coloring too even to be a splash. I wonder if she is Lavender (also called self blue) Wheaton.
