The main alpha is a Sex Link Hen named Bunny but a close runner up is a Buff Brahma Bantam Hen named Betty Boop.
All the chickens part when Bunny walks through, I think its her steely stare.
Betty Boop is very small, but watch out! she is one tough little cookie. She will sit on the inside of the coop door at bedtime and not allow any other chickens in

So I have to "place" her on the perch, then everything progresses as normal.

Hey Wynette- there's no option for ME! I have roos and hens, but when it comes to alpha, I enforce it being me.

The "Don't Mess with Mama, the Source of Food" rule. Aka, the don't bite/spur the hand that feeds you rule.

I don't have any roosters so it is my hen Ethel that is tops. She is also top pet. Neither of our cats nor my dog messes with her or any of the other two chickens. Our chickens also keep the neighborhood cats and wild birds out of our yard. Everyone seems to stear clear of them. Funny thing is they are very sweet to me and most other people.

Who knew chickens were not chickens, after all
