My best Cream Legbar hen - dead today just beside the nest box after she laid her egg. Heat index 116-degrees. Now we start the dangerous part of the year for my climate....just can't fight the heat enough....

That is awful. IDK how you could work with a heat index of 116. Fans and misters wouldn't do much in that.

I was looking at your auction and wanted to ask you about your IL light brown splits. I was told to use dark browns. Have you hatched isabelles from light brown splits? If so how do they compare to isabelles from dk brown splits?

Mine all run together. It really depends on what you want your IL to look like. The darks are going to add more color for sure....I like more color.

FYI I put up a BIN of eggs on the Just in time thread in the BST. It is a mix of eggs but I can do some in full doz.
