Honestly I don’t do anything special, it just naturally stays that way.

That said, I have had a dog who’s nose cracked too and paws and I used that same ointment or maybe it was the paw one (honestly I think it’s the same stuff). Is it possible to maybe give him a bone or go walk or something to distract him for like 5-10 minutes or however long it takes to soak in? That might help.

My girl doesn't have cracked pads or nose. I rubb and touch hers a lot though. Probably just coincidence, but figured id.give my experience
 
Have you tried rubbing Crisco or hamburger juice on it? I know that those two things always help my hands when they are dried and cracking in the winter. Weird, but it works.
as gross as that all sounds, i think he’d lick either of them off even faster than the snout saver

his paws look great. we’ve just always struggled keeping his nose looking healthy. which sucks because he’s a really good looking dope of a dog.
