Hello, guys

Over the last several days, we turned these two:

into all this:

And that doesn't include the bacon! Today I'm going to start the wet cure process.

My husband left the hides, heads, and legs on a tarp off the porch while we cut it all up and the neighbors dog stole one of the heads! Just one probably weighed a good 20 lbs.

I much prefer uprights over chests. They're easier to keep organized and find what I need. we currently have more chests than uprights but I don't think we'll be buying any more chest style in the future!

My wife is tiny. I'd come out and find her IN a chest freezer accidentally if we didn't have an upright. We had a step stool in the laundry room when we had top loaders for that reason.

And by that you mean blown down the ravine? How I read it before.

Yes, Ms. BarbieQ. She didn't run off, though. She was on top of the hill in the pigpen but the kill shot convulsions sent her down the hill, through their electric fence, off a ravine, and into the creek.
Thank God we had an electric winch.

Sinkhole Acres needs 100' more of WW fence and probably at least 1 more hoop added to the rainy day area. On a personal note, vacation is still on but son 2a (using standby/points) is flying in a couple days later. Forecast is not great either. Legit freezing some nights.
