One 14' was in Jean Lafitte NPS. He was along the trail, eating a doe and fighting off an 8' and a 10' for the pleasure. In the wild not swamp tour or anything my biggest was probably about 8to10 foot. Most all just heads
The second set of pics I posted was there. First set by my houseOne 14' was in Jean Lafitte NPS. He was along the trail, eating a doe and fighting off an 8' and a 10' for the pleasure.
Another was on a picnic along Shell Bank Bayou (Manchac). We were on a 6" ridge and this guy just kept coming out. Tree climbing time.![]()
Yep red eyes. We was frogging when we were teens and long story short we had one come alive (apparently just knocked out) in the back of a chevy chevette.I see some in the sloughs off the river when I am fishing from the boat, but not a lot. You see a lot of eye balls if you go out in the boat at night fishing. I don't do that much.
We were piroguing during the day in Manchac when someone at the launch told DW "You should see all the ones at night!" Yeah when we was frogging we was in a pirogue. We were shining the bank and felt a very slight tap. We looked down and about 3 or 4 were swimming with us. They were tapping the side with their snouts. We were petrified. We were piroguing during the day in Manchac when someone at the launch told DW "You should see all the ones at night!" Next weekend we were out there with headlamps at night. He was right though. Looked like bicycle reflectors lining the banks.
