Isa's Homestead Happenings and Hangout

Maybe it's a pot pi. Carrots, taters, etc. You know, root vegetables?

Except I have a one-eyed chicken, one with wry tail, one with a deformed leg, a duck that lays internally (I pay $$$ for her hormone implants), and a handful who no longer lay. I'm also tube feeding a *gasp* buff Orpington who stopped laying this past year. She's currently in my living room. I give her physical therapy 3x a day. That's pretty sensitive.
How did you find a vet to do the implants, or were you able to do it? I would like some of my chickens to have have to lay eggs anymore but I called our closest avian vet and they said “the implant isn’t approved for chickens.”
