Isa's Homestead Happenings and Hangout

I can food and I used to can green beans the old fashioned way, with a water bath canner. I always figured that since my grandma and mom did it that way for decades, it was still fine. Until one time I opened a can of beans and it smelled so bad, I can only assume it had botulism. I sealed it back up and threw the whole thing away, jar and all. It was a very distinct smell, can't describe it. But it was a great warning sign. I now use an electric pressure canner for veggies
I've never had that happen but I have had applebutter explode.
I always miss pronounce autumn, so I use fall since it's far harder to mispronounce.
Ötom
Autumn is for places with pretty trees that change colors and fall gracefully to the ground, Fall is for places like here, where you rake up pineneedles for 2 months...

We don't get either. We go from "surface of the sun" to "Not as sucky as July" to "Snow state HATE us". Then back.

we started dumping tea into harbours and cutting letters out of words.
Fixed it for you.
and only heathens say "fall"

I call it Fall and everyone I have ever known calls it Fall. Rarely do we say Autumn. Only when I talk to the girls I know named Autumn. I do not know any women named Fall, though. And, this is certainly not the land of the Heathen. This is the Bible Belt, and lest you forget, you will be reminded on the reg.

Fall fits because it is the time of dying
